“What is the church?”
Many people today understand the church as a building on a street, but, there is much more to it than that.
The word church comes from the Greek word “Ecclesia” which is defined as “an assembly or congregation of free citizens summoned or ‘called out’ by a herald in connection with public affairs. As you can see, the root word is not that of a building, but of people.
Good Samaritan Christian Center is a nondenominational thriving bilingual, multicultural church, located in the Woodhaven sector of Queens, New York. It was founded in the year 2000 and it has been an exciting journey as we have seen our church flourish .
It is our purpose to provide a solid scriptural foundation to those individuals who have a keen interest in understanding the Bible, and improving and maintaining their lives.
We believe that creative work goes hand in hand with the grace of God thus allowing us to have a heart and call for evangelism and restoration.
That is big enough to meet your need and small enough to know your name.
